We use the historic liturgy of the church, singing hymns to the accompaniment of organ. This is where we are fed by the Gospel of Christ, receiving forgiveness for our sins through Word and Sacrament and then propelled into our vocations with that Good News of Jesus Christ. The Lord's Supper is celebrated the 1st and 3rd Sundays and other feast days. We request that you read the information in the worship folder regarding this practice before communing. If you are not communing with us, there is ample time to devote yourself to prayer - either quietly or through the communion hymns that have been chosen for the week.
On days when the Lord's Supper is not celebrated, we join together for the service of 'Matins' in the morning or 'Vespers' in the evening.
We love receiving God’s gifts alongside children of all ages. Should you like to use it, we have a 'cry room' on the front left of the sanctuary for your convenience. However, it is unstaffed in order to encourage participation by children of all ages.
At both entrances to the sanctuary (where the service is held) there will be a stack of bulletins or an usher will hand you one. This is used in conjunction with our hymnal, directing you to the page numbers and hymns for the morning. Children's activity sheets are also available. Usually there is someone greeting people at the door, and they will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
There will be directions from the pastor about sitting or standing at different times during the service. You will not be asked to stand up or identify yourself as a visitor. But we would like for you to fill out our welcome card in the pew and drop it in the offering plate as it comes by.
If you have other questions, please feel free to ask anyone you see, or contact the church.
